Lord, I have been living for other people's approval, and it has made me a slave to their expectations and moods. I am exhausted and I am losing myself in the process. I bring this fear of disappointing others — this fear of man — before You today. Your Word says the fear of man is a snare, and I have been caught in it. Replace it with a holy fear of You — a reverence and love that cares most about what You think. Secure my identity so firmly in Your love that I no longer need everyone else's nod to feel okay.
