Lord, I want to forgive, but I honestly do not know how. What was done to me was not small. The wound is deep, and every time I think I have released it, the anger and pain come rushing back. I do not have the ability to forgive this in my own strength. So I am asking You to do in me what I cannot do on my own. Heal the wound so that the forgiveness can flow from a healed place rather than a forced one. I am willing to forgive even when it does not feel natural. Help me want to be free more than I want to be right. In Jesus' name, Amen.
